In order to make it possible for vehicles transporting on highways to travel safely, the Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications has introduced some measurement and height limits for vehicle loading. Thanks to these limitations, vehicles carrying people and goods move forward without damaging other vehicles traveling on the road and the highway structure.

Maximum Width

Maximum width of vehicles: 2.55 meters

In the refrigerated structures of refrigerated vehicles: 2,60 meters

Municipal trolleybuses: 2,65 meters

Maximum Height

Maximum height of vehicles: 4,00 meters

Maximum Length

For motor vehicles other than buses: 12,00 meters

In trailers: 12,00 meters

On two-axle buses: 13,50 meters

For buses with more than two axles: 15,00 meters For semi-trailer vehicles: 16,50 meters

Articulated (Bellows) buses: 18.75 meters Trailer buses: 18.75 meters

For two-trailer cars: 22,00 meters

On single axle without drive: 10 tons

On single driven axle: 11.50 tons

In vehicles with two axle engines, the axle group weight is the highest;

If the distance between the axles is less than 1m (d<1m): 11.50 tons

If the distance between the axles is between 1 m and 1.3 m (1 m ≤ d< 1.3 m): 16 tons If the distance between the axles is between 1.3 m and 1.8 m (1.3 m ≤ d< 1.8 m): 18 tons

If the distance between the axles is between 1.3 m and 1.8 m (1.3 m ≤ d< 1.8 m) (with the conditions of the Motor Vehicles and Trailers Type Approval Regulation or the Regulation on the Manufacturing, Modification and Assembly of Vehicles): 19 tons
